Cybersquatting is a fairly controversial issue that until recently I had not really thought about. To me the idea of cybersquatting is wrong. To register somones name as a website and turn to them and ask them if they want to buy it from u because they are rich seems so unethical to me. While net neutrality is a sensitive subject i feel that cyber squatting is something that should be monitored and prevented. It is unjust for a person to register the name of somone else as a website for the sole purpose of profiting off it.
In the case of Nissan motors vs Nissan computer i feel that Uzi Nissan is completely in the right. He is trying to run a legitimate business that he had established while Nissan was still called Datsun. For Nissan to be a corporate bully about the situation and use there money to make the judicial process for Mr. Nissan as painful and expensive as possible in order to make him go bankrupt makes them worse than any cyber squatter out there. It would not be difficult for them to register Nissanmotors.com as a website but they have to act like spoiled children
because they were too late in trying to register the name. There is no validity in Nissan motors claims , Uzi Nissan is is only trying to do nothing more than run his business he has not tried to proffit by offering to sell Nissan motors the website because he knows that he is in the right, and if Nissan motors wasnt so money hungry and blind they could see that too
